ABAC’s Baseball Team has played very hard this season. College freshmen, Cooper Mayhall has really had his head in the game before even coming to ABAC to play baseball. Mayhall was named NJCAA Pitcher of the Week. He grew up in Thomasville, Georgia. There he attended Thomasville Central High School and played his favorite sport, baseball. "This 6'3" 230 pounds boy can really throw a breaking ball, he is very tough and looks like a professional baseball player," says Coach Brandon Reeder. " Throughout the season he has been a good left- handed pitcher, we are lucky to have him." Mayhall overall record tops 3rd at conference 2 winnings with 6 and 2 innings.
Three of ABAC's most valuable baseball players have been scouted by Armstrong University. The three players are Bryon Willis, Ryan Lawless 1st base and 3rd base Jacob Baxter. These boys have done amazing job in helping make victory for the team. When asked how they do they do it, Coach Reeder tells them to "find a reason to play because they'll never know when it's their last time to play on the field." Reeder also says, "You can only enjoy the victory for so long." The Baseball team is still currently waiting on the tournament on May 7.
