On Sept. 26, the Pegasus held Open Mic Night at Dave’s Bread & Coffee House. It was a full house as ABAC students and teachers enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and delicious food. Many performers displayed their talents, sharing everything from short stories to poems. There were even a few original performances.
The crowd got a surprise when Ed Wiley stepped up to the mic and delivered a humorous speech about teeth! If that was not enough of a shock, his 10-year-old daughter, Clara Wiley, joined him at the front of the restaurant, fiddle in hand. They performed a cover of the popular country song, “Wagon Wheel.”
As Clara played her fiddle and harmonized with her father, the crowd erupted in cheers and applause. The performance was amazing and the duo did not miss a beat.
The performances that night showcased the talent here at ABAC. The Pegasus holds Open Mic Night on the last night of every month. Organizers ask everyone to come out and support their fellow students and teachers.
