Imagine that you are on a journey to the Arctic Circle. You look up from the Atlantic Ocean and marvel at the sight of the sunset that is painting the sky brilliantly behind the mountains stretching out behind the shore. You look at the sight in awe, saying to yourself, “I wish I could keep this image to share it with someone.”
This is what the brilliant photographer D.K. Bhaskar does for a living. He takes magnificent pictures of people and nature from around the world and allows others to view his amazing works in magazines and on his website. And he is coming to ABAC!
Bhaskar will be on campus Wednesday-Friday, Sept. 11-13, to speak to a number of different classes about photography, journalism, and entrepreneurship. He will also be speaking to students interested in his upcoming Study Abroad trip to India next semester during spring break.
Bhaskar grew up in India. An engineer by training, he did not discover his passion for photography until the early 2000’s, when it began as a hobby and turned into a career. At the time, he was studying elephants in India.
