Extreme sports like skateboarding may have found a home on ABAC’s campus, according to student Robbie Jones.
“There has not been much progress with the pursuit of ABAC’s first official skateboarding club,” stated Jones, “but I do have a vision of what the club will provide and the activities it will pertain of.”
Matt Thompson said, “The motives are both basic and simple skateboarding has been noticed more around campus, so let's get a boarding club.”
If the club is successfully formed, operating money will come directly from fundraisers created by future club members. The potential advisor is Chad Jerkins. But what if a person has absolutely no prior experience with skating?
“That’s not a problem," said Jones. “I will be giving lessons to inexperienced skaters who could really use a helping hand.”
Time and support from the campus officials are the deciding factors of forming ABAC’S first official boarding club.
